✴️ We Endorse Josh Elliott for Governor!

At tomorrow's State Convention, Democratic delegates from across Connecticut will arrive in downtown Hartford to select the party's nominees for Governor and other state offices. 

We are so proud to announce our endorsement of Josh Elliott for Connecticut's next Governor! Josh is the Democrat running who can and will deliver for Bridgeport voters and families. Josh built a grassroots campaign from the ground up. He is a leading progressive voice in the State Assembly. And he is running a clean race: no corporate PACs, no dark money, and no self-funding. Just people power! 

Although we are not seated delegates, we will be there tomorrow to rally support for Josh and to talk with the 72 Bridgeport delegates about why he is the best candidate to be the Democratic nominee for Governor.

We voted to endorse Josh Elliott because his priorities closely align with our priorities. Josh has pledged to:

• Defend democracy and the rule of law. He will stand up to fraud, corruption and voter suppression nationally AND here in Bridgeport.

• Fix school funding. He will immediately fix the state's education funding formula to give Bridgeport's children the millions they are owed.

• Get the ultra wealthy to pay their fair share. He will pass a fairer tax structure that will lower costs and fund services (like education) for working class families. 

We are excited to work hard all summer to get out the vote for Josh! And to move Bridgeport and Connecticut into a new era of people-centered leadership.
